Rheopheresis is an applcation of membrane differential filtration using a special second plasmafilter, named Rheofilter, to eliminate an exactly defined spectrum of high molecular weight proteins from human plasma. It is well known in literature that the more specific the plasma elimination profile, the less rheologically effective the apheresis modality.
